Thursday, 29th July Online Classes

Welcome back to out website!

Today was just another day of online classes, and I can already see the exhaustion in some students in the afternoon. I can understand the students, because learning online needs extra concentration, attention and effort in every class. Using smaller devices which is very different compared to the real setting at school, where the can see a bigger picture, interact more, and being in the real situation makes the onsite learning incomparable to online learning.

Without further ado, let's now talk what happened today on their Zoom classes.

P5/1:

In the morning, the students reviewed their previous lessons about 'Plural Nouns', they were able to learn new words, enunciate them properly and know the rules in plural nouns. They learned that in English, the words mostly changes it's spelling whenever it turned plural (2 or more). after the discussion, they answered their books and we checked them altogether. With this, the students learned from their mistakes that would teach them whenever they encounter those questions again in the future.

In the afternoon, We did reading. We finish reading the book "The Go-kart Race" at school. We read and discussed their Reading Comprehension Booklet and I let them answer the questions while we are reading them.

The students reviewed their previous lessons about 'Plural Nouns'. The good thing about it, the students recalled what they have learnt of the past days. repetition leads to retention and retention leads to mastery. They were able to exercise this. The students also learned new words and were able to say them well. We discussed the plural rules one by one and made sure that they understood every rule. I kept on repeating the rules whenever we encounter them. After the discussion, we answered their books altogether so they would know their mistakes and learned from them.
