It's Wednesday, the students are still energetic to learn. Some of them came in 10 minutes before the time. We always come this early to talk random things (in English). they love talking to one another and talk different topics. I think, giving them time to talk would help them improve their communication and interpersonal skills. Most of them only see their friends on Zoom. so, it will help them a little. It's almost a month since we start going back to zoom, and it will take another week. So, I just let them interact with one another.

What did we learn today?

P5/1

In the morning during the Everybody Up class, We talked about our Q2 project first. It's about the upcoming Mother's Day. They are going to make a video about their moms. It was followed by Word Bank #6 review and practice. We also reviewed our Everybody Up Student book to prepare them in answering the workbook. I gave them time to answer it by themselves and we checked it together.

In the afternoon, We studied Grammar about collective nouns. They learned that there are words to call group of people, things and animals. We had a drill about the collective nouns. I asked the group of people, things and animals, and they gave me the collective nouns for them. It's fun in a way, that they need to be fast in scanning the book to give the correct answer.

For P5/2, we only had 1 period and we did Grammar. We started our lesson with the reminder about their Q2 Project: "I Love My Mom". It's about Mother's Day, on the 12th of August 2021. It was followed by the review and practice of their Word Bank number 6. After those, we studied Grammar about the Collective Nouns. The students learned that there are words to use for the different group of people, group of animals and group of places. I let them watch the video about collective nouns in Thai, so they could understand it more, before I taught them in English. They have understood the topic, but remembering the words used for different group is quite challenging for them. That's why, we had a drill first on who could answer me quickly after I asked for the different groups. We answered their books after, and we had some exercises.
